Hello to Everyone on this board.

I am new to graphics, and hoping to learn much!
But - I am somewhat artistic and very determined to learn.
It looks very involved. How much time does it take to learn?

Has anyone else been where I am recently?
I have done calligraphy since 1990.
But that is somewhat slow for the high pace of life now.

I do a lot of photography.

Looking forward to your replies.

Blessings,

Kathreen

Welcome to the group. Lots of friendly helpful people here.
PSP is a very large program and can do very much. Don't let that confuse you. Click the link at the top to go to pspug.org home page and check out the tutorials and maybe sign up for beginner classes or a buddy to help you.

Good luck and have fun

Hi Kathreen,

Since you are already artistically inclinded you will get along with the program quite well. You didn't mention which version you are working with - it makes a difference on pointing you to our resources.

The program will become a fine tool to use with your photography. It would be good to read over (or work) the tuts (a shortened word for tutorials) in the Learning Center devoted to Photography to just see how far you can go with it. You can get some very interesting effects using a plugin called Virtual Photographer (google for it-it's free).

Be sure to share some of your work in the Showcase - just start a new thread and post some of your artwork or photography. We'd all like to see what you have been doing.

Have fun with the program.
