Evaluative Focus Tyoe?

I most usually use my camera (Canon 50d) in centre spot focus. However when I view the EXIF data in PSP, it shows that I am using "Focus Type Evaluative".

This is as distinct from metering mode Evaluative.

No other exif viewer that I have found even mentions Focus Type, so I am puzzled as to what the reading actually means, and whether it's a peculiarity of PSP or the camera.

Anyone got any info? I would be most interested.

BTW. Is there a way to easily extract the PSP exif listing as text and be able to display it fior others to see?

Thanks

Nick

Problem selecting using painting tool

X2 Help says I can use the painting tool to select an area by choosing "Selections --> Edit Selection," then painting the area to be selected (it covers the area with red "paint"), and choosing "Selections --> Edit Selection" again. My problem is that when I try to subtract from the red-painted area by painting in black, as the directions say I can do, the second "Selections --> Edit Selection" operation selects not the remaining red-colored area (which is what I want) but all areas that I ever touched with the painting tool, including the "subtracted" areas. Has anyone else had this problem, and do they have a solution?

Hello, I hope I am posting this in the right place. My problem is that when loading a workspace that was saved with open images, the images are loaded however they are not in their saved locations (i.e. the way they were laid out in PSP when the workplace was saved). This feature used to work in all previous versions of PSP that I've used, so I am pretty sure I am not crazy in expecting it to work.

I am running the latest (I think) version, 12.01. All previous versions behaved correctly and restored open images to their coordinates in the workspace. This is a much-needed feature! I am afraid that if it cannot be fixed I will be forced to look for an alternate program that does this correctly. I am very dependent on it and have searched this forum and Corel's knowledgebase but have not found a solution.

Here is my system info in case it is of any use:

Paint Shop Pro Photo Build Information:
Serial Number PR12XXXXXXXXXXXXXX you don't want to publicize this; you paid for it.
Build Date Tuesday, October 30, 2007 @ 19:35:33
Build Mode Release (C000104)

Hardware Configuration:
Processors 4
Processor Type Intel
MMX Support Yes

Memory / Drive Status:
Memory Load Index 34 pcnt.
Total Physical Memory 3.99 GB
Available Physical Memory 2.59 GB
Total Paging Memory 4.00 GB
Available Paging Memory 4.00 GB
Total Managed Memory 5 MB
Total Handles: 48
Temp Drive Free Space 157.37 GB

Video Driver Information:
Bits Per Pixel 32
Number of Colors 16777216
DIB Output 24 BPP
Palette Size Non-Paletted
Resolution 1680 x 1050

Operating System Information:
Operating System Windows Vista

Plug-in Information
Filter Plug-ins Loaded: 0
Import Plug-ins Loaded: 0
Export Plug-ins Loaded: 0
Format Plug-ins Loaded: 0

DLL Name Version Load State
CmdArtistic 12.01 None
CmdBase1 12.01 Partial
CmdBase2 12.01 None
CmdBevels 12.01 None
CmdClipboard 12.01 None
CmdColor 12.01 None
CmdEmail 12.01 None
CmdExternal 12.01 None
CmdFile 12.01 None
CmdGeometry 12.01 None
CmdJGL 12.01 None
CmdLayers 12.01 None
CmdLighting 12.01 None
CmdNonGraphic 12.01 Partial
CmdOrganizer 12.01 None
CmdPhoto 12.01 None
CmdPhotoSharing 12.01 None
CmdPrint 12.01 None
CmdPyScript 12.01 None
CmdSelections 12.01 None
CmdSlideshow 12.01 None
CmdStandard 12.01 Partial
CmdTexture 12.01 None
CmdVector 12.01 None
CmdWeb 12.01 None
ToolArt 12.01 None
ToolObject 12.01 None
ToolPaint 12.01 None
ToolSelect 12.01 None
ToolStandard 12.01 None
ToolText 12.01 None
ToolWarp 12.01 None

WinTab Tablet Status
Driver Version: None
